A modern association platform with an integrated CMS — built so the team can run member programming without calling for help.
Overview
One academy, one digital home — a member-facing website and CMS for news, events, education, leadership, and the resource library geriatric PTs actually use.
APTA Geriatrics is the academy of the American Physical Therapy Association dedicated to optimizing the experience of aging. Their digital presence has to serve two audiences at once: members looking for courses, events, and practice tools, and the small staff who publish that work.
We designed and built a WordPress platform on a custom Divi child theme so the team can run the site themselves — from election announcements to the resource library — without waiting on a developer for every update.
The homepage carries the academy’s voice in one scroll: a mission up top, then news, events, and the programs members come back for.

The Challenge
An academy with a full calendar of education, advocacy, and community — and a site that could not keep pace. Members needed one place to find events, CE, leadership, and practice documents. Staff needed to publish all of it without a ticket queue.
Education is the product — courses, credentials, and gatherings that have to be findable the week they go live.

The Solution
A WordPress platform the staff can run: events with date-driven cards, a news archive, a leadership directory, and a resource library organized the way members search — position statements, competencies, advocacy tools.
Shared templates keep the academy brand consistent while staff swap photography, publish a course, or post election news — same system, no rebuild.
The resource library is the working tool — position statements, competencies, and advocacy docs in one place members can actually find.
